    Und wieder ein Update für die Montana 7X0 Serie:

     

    Montana 7x0 Firmware Update 16.70 released 07JUN23.

    Change Log:

    • Added ability to edit existing map downloads
    • Added a Bulgarian keyboard
    • Fixed several issues related to Outdoor Maps+
    • Fixed potential issue with routing calculation

     

    Der Update wird stufenweise ausgerollt via Garmin Express und über WLAN.

  8. BaseCamp for Mac Update 4.8.13

    Notes:

    • BaseCamp is a 3D mapping application that allows you to transfer Garmin Custom Maps, BirdsEye Imagery, waypoints, tracks, and routes between your Mac and Garmin device. It allows you to manage your data on practically all Garmin map products, but topographic maps are required for 3-D rendering.

    • Features include:

      1. Plan a multi-day trip and pick lodging, food and other stops using your maps and Yelp 
        Transfer waypoints, geocaches, routes, and tracks to and from your GPS device. 
        Create, view, edit, and organize waypoints, routes, and tracks. 
        Find places, such as addresses, points of interest, and public land survey areas included in your detailed map data. 
        Download, display, and transfer BirdsEye imagery to supported devices. 
        Import, display and transfer Garmin Custom Maps to supported devices. 
        Track Draw 
        Printing the map, driving directions, and route and track profiles 
        Advanced geocache support 
        Geotagging photos 
        Photo waypoints

    • System Requirements:
      Intel based Mac running OS 10.13 or higher. Users on older OS's should use BaseCamp 4.7.0 available here.
      1024 MB RAM (2048 MB recommended)

  10. Update Garmin 7XX (Release 15.20)

    Es ist wieder eine neue Software unterwegs. Ich kann sie allerdings noch nicht sehen, da sie offenbar in Wellen ausgebreitet wird. Aber vielleicht habt Ihr mehr Glück.

     

    Release Notes: Has been released at a 40% rollout to users which will be increased over the next few days

    Fixed graphical glitch when changing orientation on map toggles page.
    Fixed potential crash while reloading maps.
    Fixed photos not rotating properly when changing orientation.
    Fixed wrong loading bar being drawn while loading tracks.

    Fixed potential issue with units not being able to connect to servers.
    Fixed potential issue with not being able to update GPS firmware.

  13. Update Garmin 7XX

    Garmin Express zeigt wieder einmal Updates des Montana 7XX.

     

    Zum einen wird die TopoActive Europe updated auf 2021.20. Offenbar werden nicht nur Kartendaten erneuert, sondern auch die Software des Gerätes für diese Karte.

     

    Dann wird die Gerätesoftware auf Version 13.2 angehoben.

  14. Software 13.20

    Vor wenigen Tagen ist 13.10 erschienen. Ein Bug wurde nun rasch korrigiert und aktuell ist Version 13.20 zum Download via Garmin Express bereit.

  17. Software Version 10.8 für Montana 7XX

    • Added timeout to on/off course alerts.
    • Improved responsiveness on the Active Route page.
    • Fixed issues searching for address numbers with more than 6 characters.
    • Fixed possible shutdown when downloading Birdseye Direct images.
    • Fixed possible shutdown when creating a Round-Trip Route.
    • Fixed possible error message when adding a via point to a route.
    • Fixed issues drawing icons in Marine maps.
    • Fixed issues where off course alerts would not dismiss properly.


    This update is being released in stages via Garmin Express and OTA, and should be available to everyone soon.

    Eine neue Version für das Montana 7XX ist via Geräte- und Expressupdate verfügbar:

    • Added support for creating courses. Courses can be navigated point to point like a track, or using map data like a route.
    • Added support for syncing courses with Garmin Explore. Requires updated Garmin Explore app.
    • Added ability to convert routes and tracks to courses.
    • Added ability to pair to Garmin Explore without first pairing to GCM. Requires updated Garmin Explore app.
    • Added option to search for POIs near a selected city.
    • Added on course and off course alerts to track navigation.
    • Improved calorie calculations when driving.

  25. Software Version 8.50 für Montana 7X0

    Garmin zeigt mir neue Software 8.5 für das Montana 7X0 auf dem Garmin Express Update Programm. Die Beschreibung der Änderungen ist sehr lang. Leider kann man sie auf Garmin Express nicht herauskopieren. Wenn ich sie irgendwo in vernünftiger Form finde, kopiere ich sie hier ein.

     

    Erfahrungen mit der neuen Software fehlen noch. Bin erst am laden.  :-)
